April 8 – 15, 2023 Mr. Kim’s Visit to Korea
Mr. Kim was in Korea to conduct training seminars for Taekwondo instructors from Korea, China, and Singapore, as well as promotion tests for 46 students who tested for their 1st and 2nd Dan Black Belts. Mr. Kim also approved the opening of two new branch schools in Korea and Indonesia during this trip.
April 8 – 15, 2023 Mr. Kim’s Visit to Korea
Our students were featured at the Tet 2023 Festival in Boston. Their demonstrations included Forms, Women’s Self Defense, Board Breaking and Sparring. The audience loved the performances of our students, and it was a fun and exciting experience for our team members.
November 7, 2022 – KUKKIWON
Mr. Kim was invited to meet with Mr. DS Lee, president of Kukkiwon, and Mr. JB Park, director of Taekwondo Research Institute, at the Kukkiwon headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. Many of the key issues regarding the future development of Taekwondo were discussed at the meeting.
October 2022 – Power Building Mondays
We have added a power building class to our weekly training schedule. We have been conducting this class on Mondays at 7:40 pm from October 3rd. The response has been very positive. We would like to encourage all adult class students wishing to increase their power in basic techniques to include this class in their training regimen.
May 26 — 30, 2022 Mr. Kim’s Seminars in Korea
Mr. Kim conducted seminars from May 26th to May 30th in South Korea for our students and instructors in the region. The seminars were packed with enthusiastic attendees. We plan to resume our international activities going forward. Our students are welcome to accompany Mr. Kim on these trips, so please let us know if you would be interested in joining Mr. Kim on one of these trips.
March 18-20, 2022 — Instructor K.E. Mun’s Visit to Boston Headquarters
Instructor K.E. Mun visited the Boston School from March 18th – 20th to go through another round of instructor training before opening her branch school in Virginia. Mr. Kim included a number of students from the Boston area who expressed an interest in helping to teach at the school in the future so they could benefit from this training as well. Everyone enjoyed meeting Ms. Mun and training alongside her.
July 13, 2020 – Classes Resume at The School
We are pleased to inform you that all members are now allowed to attend classes at the school as part of Governor’s Phase 3 Plan.
Space in each class will be controlled to be in line with social distancing guidelines, so please call or e-mail the school to reserve a spot before coming to the school.
We will continue with the online classes for those times you are not able to attend classes at the school.
January 2020 — Taekwondo Times Magazine
Mr. Kim is featured on the cover of Taekwondo Times January Issue. His Axe Kick picture was taken on November 24th specifically for the Taekwondo Times cover page. The accompanying article in the magazine about Mr. Kim was written by Gabriell Paye. We are truly fortunate to have him as our teacher.
October 4-6, 2019 — 45th Anniversary Celebration
Our 45th anniversary celebration started with a three-day seminar on Traditional Forms, attended by 70 instructors and Black Belts from the US, South Korea, China, Ireland, Singapore and Japan. The celebration also included a formal dinner, attended by 120 of our key members from around the world. It was a meaningful, educational and fun weekend which will be remembered and cherished by our members for many years to come.
April 2019 — Mr. Kim Visits Korea and Singapore

March 2019 — KBS TV Documentary
KBS TV aired their Taekwondo documentary on March 23rd and again on March 26th. Our school is featured in the documentary for about five minutes, including class scenes and interviews with Mr. Kim and a number of our students. It is a great honor for us to be included in this official documentary. We will continue to work hard to improve our school even further going forward.
November 17-26, 2018 — Mr. Kim Conducts Seminars in Korea and China
Mr. Kim visited Korea and China from November 17-26 to conduct seminars and promotion tests. Our network in Asia is continuing to grow stronger, evidenced by the number of students who tested for our Black Belt rank during Mr. Kim’s trip, which grew to 152 this time.
September 2018 — Intensive FRS Seminar
The 2018 Intensive Training Seminar on Full Range Sparring was held at the Boston Headquarters from September 21 – 23. Instructors from Korea, China, Singapore, Ireland, and Seattle joined the participants from the Boston area. The seminar was a great success, and appreciated by everyone in attendance.
April 14 & 15, 2018 — Mr. Kim Visits Singapore Schools
Mr. Kim visited Singapore and conducted seminars for our students from Singapore and Malaysia. We now have 12 branch schools in Singapore and 2 branch schools in Malaysia. David Horrigan, Heewon Mang, and Taejin Yoon accompanied Mr. Kim on this visit.
November 2017 — Shanghai International Hanmadang
2017 Shanghai International Hanmadang and festivities were held from November 3rd-6th, which included demonstrations, competitions, and seminars. Demonstration teams from the US, Korea, Ireland, Singapore, and China performed at the main event on November 5, 2017.
April 2016 – Mr. Kim’s Visit to Korea and Singapore
Mr. Kim visited Korea and Singapore April 9th – April 17th, to conduct seminars and tests for our students in those countries. Mr. Kim also approved two new locations, to open later this year, in Gunpo, South Korea and in Lenyang District of Shanghai, China.
September 2011 – Korea Taekwondo Association Seminar
The Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA) asked Mr. Kim to conduct a seminar for 100 school owners in Korea. The seminar was held on September 3rd, 2011 at the Korea National Sports University. The seminar facility could only hold 100 people, but 124 school owners crammed into the room, many of whom had to stand during the seminar. It is yet another indication of the respect Mr. Kim has in the Taekwon-do communities around the world.
